This is the party you need to experience at least once in your life! Since 1854, the Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit It is a vibrant reflection of the Azorean faith and rich culture. For 4 days, celebrate with solemn masses, Imperial Court parades, performances by the Santamarense Philharmonic Band and captivating shows. 05/30 – Corpus Christi National Holiday
On the religious holiday of Corpus Christi, a visit to our majestic Mother Church is unmissable. Founded on May 29, 1854, this centuries-old church played a crucial role as a trading post between the coast and the mountainous region. Upon entering, you will be surrounded by true works of art, where imperial chandeliers and light paintings make up a stunning decor.
Another stop that cannot be left out is the enchanting Friar Hugolino's Convent. Built in 1904, this building preserves the original furniture of a former nun's convent. The place is of great importance for the followers of Friar Hugolino Back, whose tomb is located at the entrance to the Conventinho. This notable friar was known for serving around 30 thousand people annually, coming from different parts of Brazil and even from European countries, gaining veneration and admiration due to his remarkable healing ability through the laying on of hands.

If you can't make it to Oktoberfest, don't worry! Santo Amaro da Imperatriz has the Stammtisch, a lively event in the city center, with stalls offering draft beer, charming cuisine and German music. A vibrant celebration during the municipality's anniversary festivities.
02/08 – International Beer Day
Talking about Greater Florianópolis and not mentioning this unique passion, Beer, is impossible! So this day is celebrated with great joy around here. And our tip is to enjoy the various breweries spread across the region, especially in Badenia Brewery located in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz.
Located in the city center, the Brewpub offers a variety of typical German dishes, such as sausages, pretzels and sauerkraut, all accompanied by a “Greifenbier” draft beer directly from the factory. Furthermore, the menu is renewed every season, to offer the customer the full variety of German cuisine.
07/09 – National Independence Holiday
Few are aware, but three generations of the Brazilian imperial family left their mark on Santo Amaro. The most notable visit occurred in October 1845, when Emperor D. Pedro II and Empress Teresa Cristina chose the Hotel Caldas da Imperatriz such as hosting. If you want to explore the rooms where these illustrious figures stayed, a visit to the Hotel Caldas da Imperatriz is a must. And, who knows, you might enjoy the luxury of one of the six Carrara marble bathtubs, kept in perfect condition to this day!
